Around 8 years ago, I serendipitously discovered floral art. Floral art goes deeper than just appreciating the beauty of flowers - the act of flower arrangement requires being present in the moment and this “active meditation” has helped bring her a greater sense of calmness within.
Mindfulness in Flower
She believes that mindfulness can come in different forms - Ikebana, which is an art form with a depth of history, theory and symbolism, has become one of her favourite practices of mindfulness.

Ikebana is also known as kadō, which means “way of flowers”. Through the learning from east and west, l gain an appreciation of the perfect imperfection of nature. In 2025, I have gain the first teacher grade of Sogetsu ikebana.
